TOWN OF DALEVILLE LEAD & COPPER INVENTORY

The Town of Daleville Water Department completed the mandated Lead & Copper Line Inventory in 2024. Because our system was installed in the early to mid 1990’s, we are fortunate that our town is not affected by the concerns of lead within the system-owned portion of the lines (the lines the Town maintains and provides for service connections) or the customer-owned lines (the lines from your meter to your residence). We enacted an ordinance that specifically disallowed cross-connections from previously existing wells at the time of connection to the Public Water Supply (PWS), which means that lead material lines and lead solders were not permitted for any service lines, and any existing lead/lead solders would have been abandoned along with your previously-used well, once you became connected.

We are grateful to all who completed and returned surveys, asked questions, and worked as a community to allow us to ensure we are compliant and continuing to provide safe water to our residents. If you wish to review the Public Transparancy Dashboard, please click here.
